Inside Sales Account Executive

Location: Lehi, UT

 

SaltStack is seeking an Inside Sales Account Executive to blaze a new trail and participate in an opportunity of a lifetime. Being an open source platform with tens of thousands active users is cool, but participating in the sales upside is cooler.  Your job is simply to do what you do best... help convert our open source users to our paid management console, SaltStack Enterprise.  It's kind of like being in the middle of a money tornado and grabbing swirling dollars out of mid-air.  Sound fun?

SaltStack Inside Sales Account Executives are responsible for successfully selling Salt's value proposition to mostly outbound targeted prospects as well as qualifying and closing some inbound leads primarily over the phone. Target customers will consist of small to mid-size companies across the North America region and you will be assigned a territory to call your own.

In this role, you will need to:

 

  • Close new business consistently at or above quota level
  • Become an expert in Salt's management console and the dev-ops/datacenter use case or role
  • Serve as a brand enthusiast for Salt's open source community, suite of products, and solutions
  • Build 3x pipeline in the first 90 days of onboarding with targeted small and mid-sized companies
  • Follow up on inbound leads at small and mid-sized companies
  • Build relationships with prospects, partners, and internal stakeholders to grow new business
  • Work collaboratively with technology departments to execute sales strategy as the firm introduces enhancements to existing solutions and/or releases new products
  • Bring your thinking, strategies, and ideas to advance our company’s values, unique culture, and vision for the future

 

You will need to have:

 

  • 2+ years of selling experience
  • Terrific consultative sales skills and exceptional closing experience
  • Accurate forecasting and pipeline management
  • Evidence that you are a top producer in your current role
  • A sharp focus on your goals and a belief that your daily, weekly and monthly activities will help you achieve them.
